Updates from Everest

Good News today as the first team of the season has summited.  This was mixed team fixing ropes.  After 1pm today the summit was reached.  We have heard news also from the North side that the ropes are going in there also.  Our team is good.  We just returned from another hike over towards Pumori…


May 6 team-backcarry

Nick Shepherd and his team are feeling strong and are excited about the high pressure system.  Yesterday they traveled down the glacier and picked up their cache at Windy Corner.

2012 Denali-Tyler team

Joe Butler, Kaern Bockel and the Tylers carried loads around Windy Corner and cached at 13,500′.  It was hot but otherwise the weather was perfect.

May 13 team- move to 11,200′
