June 3 team: carry to 10,000′
The June 3 team carried a load of food and gear up the Kahiltna Glacier yesterday, to 10,000′. Today they plan to move to camp 2, which is at 11,200′.

The June 3 team carried a load of food and gear up the Kahiltna Glacier yesterday, to 10,000′. Today they plan to move to camp 2, which is at 11,200′.
The Traverse Team is hanging tough in a most uncomfortable place these days… They have been experiencing the full brunt of Denali’s not-so-nice side, holding onto hope that the weather will break in the coming days and they can sneak in a summit bid. recording
Sean called in a somewhat garbled recording from the big camp at 14,200′, but it sounds like they moved up in good conditions and everyone is doing really well. It sounds like steak tacos are on the menu for tonight, and I expect they will sleep well after the big day moving up from 11,200′…
