May 12th and May 15- Back in town

The May 12 and May 15th expeditions have all flown off the glacier and are in Anchorage getting dropped off at various B&Bs, probably jumping in the shower and enjoying such things as running water and indoor plumbing.  Stay tuned for a wrapup blog entry from the guide teams, maybe with some photos!

At basecamp

After moving all day down the Kahiltna in low visibility conditions, Zach and the entire group are in basecamp, waiting to fly to Talkeetna at the earliest possible chance.  The weather is socked in, with reports of intermittent rain throughout the day, but Talkeetna Air Taxi will launch planes as soon as the weather lets…

Update

Zach checked in from 14k, they are resting and preparing to move down lower towards basecamp.   They plan to leave 14k at 4 am, which should put them in basecamp (all things lining up) mid-afternoon.
