Stephen Inman

I grew up in Rhode Island, but discovered my passion for climbing, skiing, and guiding in the White Mountains of New Hampshire during early childhood trips, and later through a summer job. I quickly realized that I wanted to spend my life in pursuit of outdoor adventure. After graduating college, and a brief stint playing professional ice hockey, I moved west to Ketchum, Idaho to make a career in the mountains a reality.
I spent several seasons working for the Sun Valley Ski Patrol while climbing and skiing as much as possible during my time off, before making the transition to full-time guiding.

Now, I split my time guiding in the Pacific Northwest, Idaho, Alaska and the Northeast and draw on my extensive experience and passion while out in the mountains. I’m an Assistant Ski, Apprentice Rock and Apprentice Alpine guide, hold my Pro 2 avalanche certification, Ice Instructor Certification, and am a Leave No Trace Master Educator. The 2024 season will mark my third season on Denali with Mountain Trip.I am currently pursuing the full IFMGA guide certification through the AMGA.
