I  moved to Alaska in 2004 to pursue Nordic ski racing, but I quickly traded in my skinny skis and spandex for a backcountry ski set up and have been insatiably wandering around glaciated mountains ever since.

I live in Girdwood, AK and try to spend as much of my time as possible romping around in the snow. My career with Mountain Trip began in 2006, and I’ve led about 15 teams up Denali since that time.

In the winter I instruct Avalanche education courses and work as a helicopter ski guide.  I also instruct glacier travel, mountaineering, and ski mountaineering for various companies and universities around Alaska. In the fall you will probably find me rock climbing in the desert or surfing in Mexico.
