I began climbing in high school at the local rock crag in Spokane, Washington.  Inspired by local legends, I took to the high mountains of the Cascades climbing the major volcanoes and later technical ice and rock faces, including a couple first ascents.  But my first extended expedition came in 2006 with a trip to Denali’s West Buttress.

I hold a Wilderness First Responder/CPR, I am a member of the American Mountain Guide Association, and in 2013 I began to pursue AMGA certification by completing the Rock Instructor Course.  Meanwhile, guiding takes me as far as Aconcagua come winter.  And my appetite for long alpine routes like those found in Patagonia, the Bugaboos, and the Cascades keep my skills honed for the next adventure.

I have been blessed to work two expeditions with Mountain Trip on Denali and look forward to leading groups of happy, well nourished climbers to the summit.
