The guys are back in the land of green plants and warmth today. They said goodbye to Jacob at Union Glacier Base, and hopped on the plane back to Punta Arenas. Congrat’s again to Ed, Mike, and Cason for a great climb!

The climbers are back to the Union Glacier Base this today after a 45 minute flight in a ski plane from Vinson Base Camp. They spent a couple of extra days at Vinson Base after their summit enjoying the beauty of Antarctica and getting their fill of winter camping. They are scheduled to fly back…
Cason called in from Vinson Base Camp this evening. They had a great summit day yesterday, and today packed up and headed all the way to our big comfortable dome tent at base camp. Listen to Cason’s call. recording
Jacob called in to let us know that they were all back to camp after a 9 hour summit day. They are settling in for some hot soup and dinner before crawling into their sleeping bags for some well deserved sleep. recording
