Trip Reports
We got a call from Matt when he was still in the ski plane, letting us know that he and John were en route to Talkeetna, having come down off the route sans summit.  I scrambled the van driver and before we knew it the team was back in town.
'Twas a lazy day for the team today, but the mustered up the energy to take a stroll to the "Edge of the World" and looked down upon the "Valley of Death."  Thanks to Jerry for such a detailed recap of the day's events. Camp 2, Everest Bill Allen Wow, another perfect beautiful day here at Camp 2. We’ve had amazing weather up here for round 2, last night was beautiful clear and starry, and it’s been just a stunning day again today. Our Sherpa team made another lap up to the S. Col
Matt called in on the satellite phone, reporting that the team had turned around on the route and had safely retreated back to their basecamp at the base of the route.

We are enjoying our 6 days here at Camp 2. We have been fortunate to have some really great weather thus far and have 3 days left before we head down. Bill, Neal, Ephi and Chris climbed to Camp 3 at 24,000 ft. today as part of a planned acclimatization
The team showed up in Talkeetna under dismal skies and expectations of waiting out the clouds at the local brewery, but fortunately lead guide Jared Vilhauer knows enough to get everything ready to go no matter what the weather looks to be doing, as there are many miles between Talkeetna
