Today the team moved a load of equipment and supplies to a cache site around Windy Corner at 13,700'. Thankfully Windy Corner did not live up to it's name---it was a beautiful day! The plan is to keep the momentum going, and move up to 14 Camp tomorrow. Here's Nick:
Dave Helland gave a shout from 14,200' on the West Buttress route. The team put a cache in on the upper portion of the West Rib, took a rest day and tomorrow they plan to get onto the West Rib itself. Their plan is to climb up to the Rib

Taking advantage of good weather on Denali's mid-mountain, the members of our June 17th West Buttress team climbed up the steepest part of the route to put a cache in on the ridge leading to High Camp.  Departing Camp 3, they climbed up 1200' of moderate snow slopes to reach
The team made a quick lap to the cache site and picked up the load of equipment and supplies that they left a couple of days ago. It's really an "active" rest day, as the cache site is very close to camp. It gave the team an opportunity to stretch
Today the team rested, ate, and hydrated in preparation for moving up to the "upper" mountain (above 14 Camp). They also spent some time practicing skills and discussing the plan for the next few days. If the weather permits, the team plans to move a load of equipment and supplies
