Rob called in from 11,200′ where the team is getting regular exercise by digging out their tents from the incessant snow that has been falling on them. A powerful low pressure system has taken up residence on the mountain and a product of this has been a LOT of snow. As it piles up in the sides of tents, you need to regularly remove it, lest it either bury your tent or build up with such weight that it snaps a tent pole. Regular clearing of their lodging is both necessary and also gives them something productive to do as they wait for the weather to clear.
Fingers crossed that the snow abates and the team can move up soon!
