The guys moved on up to Camp 1, also known as Low Camp, today in just over 5 hours. It’s a good glacier hike from base camp up towards the foot of Mount Vinson, and it’s all uphill from here! They’ll probably take a day to rest tomorrow, and then up the nearly 3000 ft face to the shoulder of the mountain where high camp sits. Not surprisingly, it is “frigid” down in Antarctica right now, but the team is doing great and feeling good.
