Mountain Trip climber Nimrod Sheffer on the June 11 Denali West Buttress called in with an update on the team’s progress, which was unfortunately cut short due to a poor satellite phone connection to our call-in line. Several teams experienced difficulty with dispatches yesterday, which could be attributed to an approaching weather system.
However, thanks to gps and updates from other teams, we know that the entire June 11 team has reached Camp 3 at 14,200′ safely, and will likely be enjoying a rest day today to begin to acclimatize their bodies to the higher altitude.
