Lead guide Ben Adkison called in with an update on the June 5 Denali West Buttress team, who have been making steady, consistent progress up the mountain.

Ben said they woke up late and had a big breakfast of chocolate chip coconut pancakes before caching above camp.He said the weather was impressively clear and calm, the calmest he has ever seen it in the Alaska Range.

Tomorrow the team will take a rest day at 14,200′, acclimatize their bodies, eat a lot of food (which seems to be a high point on this particular expedition) and if this weather pattern holds, make their summit bid within a few days.
