Aconcagua is known for it’s wind and the team experienced some of that today as they moved up and settled in at Camp 1. They left the comforts of basecamp and climbed up to about 16,400 ft where they set up their tents in the high winds. They’re all settled in tonight and hope to get a good night sleep at this higher camp.
Here’s John with the evening dispatch from Camp 1!
Sounds like very harsh conditions. Thinking of you all and hope the tents stay secure. You are all amazing and wishing you a good 5 days of acclimatizing.
