The June 21 team called in their dispatch as they began the process of breaking camp down at Camp 3 14,200 ft (4328 m). Despite this team’s patience with the weather on Denali this season, the poor travel conditions have not let up and the forecast isn’t showing that a summit bid would be successful at this time. The team remains in high spirits and is happy to be beginning the descent to Denali base camp 7,200 ft (2194 m) to catch a flight home. Hopefully, weather will cooperate lower on the mountain so these climbers can get back to enjoy a shower and a farewell feast before they part ways. Stay tuned to hear what happens next!
