Lead guide Jason Denley called in an update on the June 6 West Buttress Team who was on their way into the Alaska Range… and unfortunately had to come right back out. As soon as the team was above the Ruth Glacier, weather moved in and unfortunately they had to turn around and retreat to the clearer skies of Talkeetna. Alas, one more night of interior plumbing and restaurant foods await them, and they’re on deck to fly into the Alaska Range (hopefully with more success) early morning tomorrow.
