Climber David Haffner called in the update today for the January 6 Team, who made the sucessfull ascent up to Camp Two! The team is in good shape but starting to feel the effects of the high altitude!
You can actually hear a bit of the wind through the update. From here, the team will likely take an acclimatization day before moving to their High Camp at Piedras Blancas (White Rocks) at around 20,000′. From there, weather permitting, they will make the summit push in just a few days. The climbing can become a bit more technical above High Camp and snowstorms are not uncommon this time of year in the High Andes. We wish the team the best of luck in the coming days.
