Don Lashley, a member of Mountain Trip’s May 6 Denali West Buttress Expedition called in from Camp 3 with an update on the team’s progress.
Yesterday the team made the trek back down to 13,400 ft. to retrieve a cache of supplies that they left lower on the mountain. They stayed the night last night at Camp 3 at 14,000 ft., and hope to stash more supplies up high today in preparation for their ascent to High Camp. He said the weather appeared to be moving in on them a bit, and that they may have to stay at Camp 3 for the day if another storm hits. Don said that they’re all feeling healthy and strong and looking forward to, hopefully, soon standing on the top of North America.
