It’s been a busy couple of days for the June 4 Team. On the 4th the Team conducted a Team Meeting, equipment check, and shopped for last minute items in Anchorage. Today they woke early, packed up, and drove a few hours north to the little town of Talkeetna. They had an orientation with the National Park Service, they organized and “weighed in” all of their gear for Talkeetna Air Taxi, our air services provider, and then flew on to the Kahiltna glacier. Lead Guide Brian Muller reports the team had excellent visibility for the short flight, which is a real treat because the scenery is dramatic. The end of the report is a bit garbled, but the plan is for the team to rig their sleds, pack their kit, and move to Camp 1 tomorrow.
Here’s Brian:
Good luck team! Sounds like you’re off to a great start!
