The May 22nd West Buttress Denali Expedition has flown in to Basecamp and begun their adventure!

Assistant Guide Maddie called in to give us the lowdown on what they’ve been up to so far.

Learning skills in Basecamp.

Maddie informed us that the May 22nd team drove up to Talkeetna and was able to fly in to Basecamp immediately. They arrived at camp and began to learn new skills, like how to setup camp and rig their sleds for travel along the glacier. Then they ate their first meal of the trip, cooked up by Chef Dylan. It sounds like their trip is off to a great start!
