Congratulations to the climbers from our May 14th West Buttress expedition for reaching the summit of Denali!
I’ve been following their location on a Garmin inReach satellite device and they reached the top of North America about eight hours after departing their 17,200 foot High Camp. We did not receive a satellite phone call from the team, but they spent about an hour on the summit, enjoying clear views of the Alaska Range.
They have dropped back down along the stunning and knife edged summit ridge. They have about three hours of work ahead of them before they can relax with a hot drink and rest after a very strong effort today.
We’ll fill you in on details as we learn more, but – Strong Work, Team!!!!
Bravo,bravo,bravo
