The May 14th West Rib Team (aka Team K2) is waiting for a weather window to allow them to move up to Camp 3!
Katherine and Kathryn checked in from the beautiful 11,000-foot Camp 2. They have been moving great, but today, the mountain decided that they should stay put, as the combination of strong winds and very cold temperatures are keeping them in camp. It sure sounds like the stoke is high with their team, and we’re thrilled that they called in, so you all can hear it in their voices!
The plan is to move their camp up and around Windy Corner as soon as the wind allows, but for the time being, they are hunkered down, simply enoying being in the Alaska Range. Also, birthday cake at 14,200′?! We’re excited to learn more!
