Here is the report from lead guide Jason Denley today!
“We departed Lava Tower Camp to Arrow Glacier High Camp today under sunny skies with increasing winds and climbed approximately 750ft in elevation. We had stellar views over the savannah looking down on the clouds and two villages. Huge rock walls and glaciers loom above camp and everyone is eager to climb the Western Breach. We went for a acclimatizing hike up the lower slopes of the route and returned for an excellent lunch. The team is prepping packs for our alpine start and getting some rest before our summit attempt tomorrow. Everyone is feeling good and acclimatizing well. We will keep you updated and send in another dispatch when we get to camp tomorrow evening. We will depart just after midnight for our summit attempt!”
We can’t wait to hear how it goes! Go team!
