Lead guide Jed Porter called in from High Camp yesterday to report that everyone on the June 12 team stood on the highest point of North America! Congratulations everyone! It sounds like they even helped a few others outside of their team climb to the top as well. Summit day is a big push, climbing from High Camp at 17,200′ (5242m) to the summit at 20,310′ (6190m), and we’re so glad to hear the team was rewarded by making it all the way! It’s a quicker walk back down after that, and they spent the night back at High Camp. Today they will continue their descent all the way back down to Basecamp at 7,200′ (2194m).
