The team made its way from Casa Piedra, up the beautiful Relinchos Valley, to Base Camp, also called Plaza Argentina. Lead Guide Fermin reports that everyone is doing well and the team made good time to camp.

In the coming days, the plan is to cache a load of equipment and supplies at Camp 1. The team will use this method of “caching” equipment to move supplies up the mountain, and it also allows the team to acclimate to the thinning air. The team’s plan is weather dependent, of course, and Fermin reports snow at Base Camp.
