John called in to update us last night from their second camp. The team had a day of hiking that was similar to the day before. About 6 hours of hiking with light packs, thanks to the help of the mules. The Casa De Piedra camp is located at the junction of the Relinchos and Vacas Valleys. There is an old smuggler’s hut here that was erected many decades ago, made of stone. This old hut is what gives the area it’s name, Casa De Piedra meaning House of Stone. After a long day of hiking, a delicious Argentinian dinner was made again over a fire.
Here’s John!
