Our team rested and acclimatized yesterday, while rain clouds built up over the mountain. They have a comfortable camp at the Lakes Base Camp, but they are motivated to get climbing!
We just heard from Scott Woolums that the team awoke early in the morning to find that the rain had stopped and stars were out. At 2:30 am, they launched from Base Camp en route to the start of the climb. We’ll post updates as we receive them, but let’s all wish them dry, warm thoughts as they climb to the summit of Oceania!
