The October 2012 Carstensz Expedition is in Bali and preparing to head on to West Papua very early tomorrow morning. This is a team of one, as we had some attrition before the trip even began. We are continuing with climber Joe Ashkar joining guide Scott Woolums in Bali and preparing for a 5-6 day trek to Carstensz Base Camp.

We’ll follow their progress and will be getting some audio posts from the expedition as they make their way to the top of Carstensz Pyramid!
