Pi signaled that all is well yesterday, and the team took a half rest day in order to travel down the glacier to pick up the remainder of their gear and bring it all back to camp at 11,000′. Half rest days involve a few hours of work and then a lot of drinking water and eating various lunches while looking up the mountain at the next leg of the journey, which will involve carrying a load of food and gear up Motorcycle Hill, across the Polo fields, around Windy Corner and along the West Buttress to 13,500′ where there is a more sheltered spot to leave a cache of gear at. The wind is moving about the mountains today, so let’s hope for a drop in windspeed to let our team move along their way.
