Our April 29th team is about to fly into the base camp at 7,200′ (2380m) on the Kahiltna Glacier. They met yesterday in Anchorage and had a full day of team meetings, equipment checks and running around town to pick up last minute necessities. Today, they drove up to the small, end of the road town of Talkeetna, Alaska, where they met with the National Park Service for an orientation.
In just a couple of hours, they should be taking to the air for the unforgettable flight across the tundra and into the stark, glaciated beauty of the Alaska Range. Let’s meet the team!
