Sean called the Alaska office, reporting the team successfully carrying a load of gear up to 10,000′ in order to prepare for their move to camp 2 at 11,200′ tomorrow, walking right by their cache and turning the corner off the main flow of the Kahiltna glacier. Bad weather up high has kept our advance team at 14k from moving any higher, but so far the April 29 team is at a low enough elevation that they are sheltered from the higher winds that have been hitting elevations above 11k. Let’s hope for clear days ahead….
