The team is settling in and acclimatizing to the high altitudes of the Plaza Argentina basecamp today. Today was all about resting as their bodies acclimate, there were some headaches and some of the usual altitude discomforts, but folks are generally doing well. After a few days, they’ll feel right at home at this altitude and be able to push up higher!
The Plaza Argentina basecamp is a relatively luxurious place for climbers with a cook serving steak for dinner tonight, and a big dome dining tent for the team. They’ll enjoy a good day of rest and tomorrow will be headed up to Camp 1 to carry a load of gear and continue the acclimatization.
