Climber Leif called in an update on the other half of the May 30 from 14,200′ camp on the route. The team decided to split, with Terry and guide Rob sticking around at High Camp for as long as the trip will allow, hoping for a good summit window. Today, the team will take on the notorious “Denali death march,” walking all the way down from 14,200′ to Denali base camp at 7,200′, where they will catch a ride back to Talkeetna on a small plane, back out through miles and miles of stunning mountains, braided rivers and glaciers of the Alaska Range.
Here’s Leif!
