Guide Yoshiko checked in for the May 6 Denali Team, who has been making their way up the West Buttress route for 12 days now. They completed a high supply cache at around 15,500 ft., where Yoshiko said they had a spectacular panoramic view of the rugged mountains around them. The team must be thankful for their packs growing gradually lighter as they push upward. Yoshiko mentioned that the winds were especially high on the ridge, and that they may spend an extra day in Camp 3 to wait for better conditions.
They hope to push on to High Camp as soon as the weather allows. The whole team is together and feeling good about the expedition and their days ahead high on the mountain.
