We went for a long hot slog today up the Western Cwm. We moved up to just below the impressive SW face of Everest.

The last couple nights in Camp 1 were absolutely amazing and were calm, cold with the most amazing moon rise behind Lhotse. Manoj and I are planning to spend a couple of nights here on our first rotation up high. Tomorrow we’ll go for a short hike to the base of the Lhotse Face.
