J. Y. and Suzanne – Digging out the tents!

Nick Aiello called in from 14,200′ (4328m) with a report of heavy snowfall today, which kept the guides busy. His report makes it sound like the “Guides All-Star Shoe Band,” featuring Jack on the snow saw, Sean on the grain scoop, Nick on the shovel and Suzanne holding down the tent!

90 km winds and 60cm of snow are making for some serious drifts of snow around camp.  In such conditions, climbers need to be vigilant with their shoveling, or the snow could potentially build up to such a height that it could collapse a tent.  We call this sort of environment “full value!”  Hang in their team!
