The Upper Rib Team made short work of their back carry day today, skiing (while roped) down to their cache site, where they had left some supplies the day before. The team is traveling on skis, which is one potential benefit of a small, private team like this one; however, the National Park Service does not allow guided parties to ski unroped, so they had to negotiate skiing down the mellow glaciated slope with a 50 meter cord attaching one to another.
They are doing well, and I have heard rumors of an “around The World Dinner Party,” where the six Mountain Trip teams at the 11,200′ camp visited each others’ kitchen tent to sample the dinner fare from each guide party. We’ll let you know if their was a clear culinary favorite!
Finally, good progress is going on. Sound you really have lots of fun!! Good job team.
