Denali Television Crew team at Base Camp — 7,200′

Mountain Trip lead guide Eli Potter and guide Ryan Gould have just flown onto the glacier with a television crew, who are filming a show about the Seven Summits, and have joined Mountain Trip to film the Denali portion of the show.

Brazillian filmmaker and mountaineer Gustavo Ziller and Gabriel Tarso, who will be operating the camera, will be filming Ziller’s quest to climb the highest mountain on each continent. After Denali, Ziller has two more summits left to climb. We would like to thank the team for choosing Mountain Trip to accompany them and help them realize their aspirations of reaching the summit of Denali at 20,310′. They will be following the classic West Buttress route, which gains approximately 17,000′ of elevation from Base Camp to summit.

With the sun at its peak for the year in the Alaska Range, the team will travel on a night schedule, waking up in the early morning hours to move camp from 7,200′ to Camp One at 7,800′, several miles up the Kahiltna Glacier. They will likely spend a day or two at Base Camp filming the lifestyle and quirks of the international tent town that forms each summer deep in the Alaska Range.

Here’s Eli!
