Denali Team Priya Calls In!

Mountain Trip is known for organizing a lot of private climbs for climbers looking to have a more personalized expedition with their friends.  One such team is camped at 7,800′ tonight and called in their first post.

Greg Harris and Priya Singh are friends from Canada, who have climbed together in the past and asked us to organize an expedition for them on Denali.  The running joke for some months ha been the name of the expedition, be it Team Priya or Team Greg.  We’ll let them thumb wrestle for naming rights!

The guides for the team are Joe Butler, Josh Garner and Blaine Horner.  The team flew onto the glacier a couple days ago and spent some time reviewing skills at Base Camp before moving up the broad Kahiltna Glacier.  The move up glacier took about 6 hours and covered about 5 miles of terrain.  Tomorrow they will encounter their first significant hill, named Ski Hill, which rises just out of camp to an elevation of about 9,500′.

Here is Greg Harris, calling from the glacier!
