Tony Hogan called in from 7,200′ on the Southeast Fork of the Kahiltna Glacier!
The team flew into the Alaska Range in the afternoon, after attending a mandatory orientation presented to every Denali climber by our national Park Service. They loaded up fixed wing aircraft and flew about a half hour into the rigged mountains north and west of Talkeetna, Alaska.
Arriving on the glacier, after a slightly bouncy landing on skis, they off loaded the plane and set up their camp. The evening was spent reviewing skills for the glacier and feasting on pizza!
Here’s Tony!
Congrats Ted & team for making it to base camp & the start of this incredible journey! The pics look great 👍🏼
God Bless!! Praying for good weather and a SAFE and successful climb. Hugs. 🙂
So great to hear your voice, Tony!! And excited we can keep updated through this site. Cheers to you and your team!
Go team go!
