Everest Team on the Trek

2017 Mt Trip Everest Team Trek

Hello from Deboche!
The last two nights we spent in Namche Bazar. We enjoyed the busy little village filled with tiny shops and bakeries. On our rest day we went for a pleasant hike to a cafe with a great view of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
Today we left early to have the trail to ourselves and avoid afternoon showers(hasn’t happened yet) . After a few hours of hiking across the hillside above Namche and up one last big hill for the day. We stoped in Tangboche and checked out the beautiful monastery and of course the bakery. So far it seams that our daily hikes are based on where the best apple pie and danishes are, with of course a cappuccino or two.So far the weather has been amazing. Shorts and a long sleeve shirt with a hood to hide from the sun has been my daily wear.
Everyone is doing great and they say hello to loved ones back at home.
Cheers,
Jacob Schmitz

  1. Apple pie, danishes & cappuccino – now that’s trekking done right! Good job, honey (Chris J.), on keeping your somewhat hair-challenged pate covered. Miss you!
