Dec 14th Vinson Team at Base Camp

The team flew from Punta Arenas, Chile to Union Glacier base in Antarctica early this morning without delay.  They had a short break at Union Glacier to have some lunch and sort out gear before jumping on another small ski plane for the 45 minute flight from Union Glacier base to Vinson Base Camp.  The weather has been very cooperative so far for the team, and they arrived without any delays, which is not very common down in Antarctica.

Everyone is doing great and settling in at base camp where they plan to spend a day reviewing some skills and organizing gear and food for the move up to Camp 1.

Listen to Mountain Trip guide Jacob calling in from Vinson Base Camp.
