May 8 Team – Summit to High Camp!

The first Mountain Trip team of the season to reach the summit of Denali 20,300 ft (6187 m) has safely descended back to their High Camp 17,200 ft (5242 m) for a well-deserved hot meal and sleep in a warm tent! Tap below to hear guide, Chris Dickson, with the full update – his stoke is contagious.

We are so happy for this team on their accomplishment of a lifetime. Hundreds of climbers come to Denali from around the world each year and every team can invest their all in the route but, the summit is never a given. We’re proud of our guide’s decision-making that allowed the team to succeed in their objective of standing on top of the highest peak in North America.

Have a toast for these guys tonight, wherever you are! They’re already getting excited to see their loved ones now that they are on their way home! The descent from High Camp takes one to two days – stay tuned for their next dispatch.
