May 10 Team – Arrived at Alpenglow Central!

We’re excited to hear that our May 10 crew is safe and sound at Camp 2 11,000 ft (3353 m). They made it there without issue and with great weather. We’re getting the feeling this team is on a lucky trajectory with their conditions and timing! These seemingly simple aspects of a climb can make or break your summit attempt in the end.

Our second camp is in the 11,000’ basin at the base of Motorcycle Hill. This is an incredibly beautiful location that basks in alpenglow when the sun travels around the north side of the mountain.

After achieving their objective for the day, the climbers were able to enjoy a lovely, hot meal prepared by our guides in the cozy cook tent before bedding down in their comfy sleeping bags. Tomorrow the time will rise early and depart camp with only a minimal amount of gear to carry on their way to cache around Windy Corner 13,000 ft (3962 m)! More on that tomorrow – tap below to hear guide, Joe Kinner’s full update and shout out to loved ones back home!
