May 7 Private Team – Clouds Continue at Camp 2

This just in from Jesse Yon on the May 7 Private Team – reporting from what we hope is the last weather day hold for our teams across the board at Camp 2 11,000 ft (3353 m). Low visibility continues here on the mountain with fresh snow drifting more than 3 ft (1 m) with high winds. The team is staying pack and ready to go so that they can move higher up the West Buttress as soon as weather will allow.

What do they have to look forward to after this? They will ascend to Motorcycle Hill to bury another cache which will be a welcome drop of weight before climbing around Windy Corner 13,000 ft (3962 m) to then reach Camp 3 14,000 ft (4267 m). We look forward to hearing from the team tomorrow!
