Now we know where everyone’s mind is on the June 17 team…
Guide Chris Cullaz called in an update after dinner from camp at 11,200′ after a successful move up to Camp Two at 11,200′! They had a very hot rest of their day after moving camp. The team is still traveling on a night schedule to ensure that snow bridges over crevasses are at their most solid. Today marks the longest day of the year, the summer solstice, meaning essentially no darkness in the Alaska Range.
Here’s the team with the quick update! We’ll have that extra cheesy pizza on the way shortly!
