January 6 Aconcagua Team departing for Camp Two

Mountain Trip Guide Fermin Avila called in an update on the team, who plans to depart Camp One and head for Camp Two at just shy of 18,000′. Fermin mentioned that everyone on the team is doing great! Today they will spend the day ascending from Camp One to Camp Two at just shy of 18,000′. Aside from the altitude, the ascent is relatively easy. However, this high on the mountain, the team will undoubtedly begin to feel the effects of the high altitude.

We will likely hear from the team once again after they arrive at Camp Two.
