Tyler Team – Mellow day at 11,200′

Joe Butler called in a report from the Tyler’s Denali team, and it sounds like they just might be having too much fun up there, what with the multiple references to having some laughs…!  They took an active rest day today, meaning that they only worked for about a couple of hours, and ate and lounged for the rest of the day.

After sleeping in and eating their full of french toast, they dropped about 20 minutes downhill to a spot where they had left a cache of supplies a couple days ago.  They dug up their kit, loaded it into packs and sleds and hauled it all about an hour and a half back up to camp.  French dip sandwiches were their reward at lunchtime and they are basking in the warm sun.
