From the rainforest, to the high alpine and back again, the October 23rd Kilimanjaro team has made it off the mountain and is off to their next adventure, after a fun dance party of course.
Waking up to a fresh dusting of snow really sets the mood for a proper alpine adventure, and after five hours our team was on the “Roof of Africa” and took in a picturesque sunrise. I am so proud of everyone on the team for digging deep to conquer themselves and achieve such an incredible goal. All mountains are difficult in their own way, and the scrambling of the Western Breach, consistent precipitation and marathon nature of expedition climbing add to Kilimanjaro’s difficulty. I have so much gratitude for the team for sharing and supporting each other to make it a wonderful experience. And thank you so much to our local guides and team for supporting each climber and making the expedition possible, and for the incredible hospitality while showing us the beauty of Kilimanjaro.
My favorite part of any adventure is the human experience, and creating lifetime bonds with people from all walks of life. There were plenty of smiles, singing, high fives and hugs as the whole team explored the beautiful landscape. And I’m sure there will be plenty more for this crew!
Thank you for following along, and supporting our team.
Congratulations again my friends and Happy Adventures,
