June 7 Team Enjoys Another Rest Day

Today the team enjoyed another rest day at High Camp as they wait and prepare for their weather window. Today, the Summer Solstice, they will be making their summit attempt! We wish the team luck, and looking forward to hearing from them later tonight. Summit attempts typically take around 12 hours. They will have to ascend over 3,000′ of some of the most technical terrain they have encountered on the mountain. Often times they will be walking along a beautiful ridge as they climb higher into the clouds. Except for a few moments like on the Autobahn or when they cross a flat expanse of the glacier known as the Football Field. We wish them great views and calm air!
